Susie Thatcher studied French horn at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, performing with some of Australia’s top ensembles, before switching her focus to words. She now lives in Naarm/Melbourne where she works as a writer, teacher and editor and raises her two kids. Her novel-in-progress was shortlisted for the 2016 Richell Prize, and her short works have been published in Kill Your Darlings, Near & Far Anthology vol. 2 and Victorian Writer. In 2017, she was a WrICE Emerging Writer Fellow. From 2015 to 2016, she was General Manager of The Canary Press literary magazine. She teaches in the Associate Degree of Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT University.
